CSI Scooter

I saw many beautiful flowers at the Philadephia Flower Show.

Scooter was a lunatic when I got home last night, but I assumed he'd be calm by the morning.
Alas, this wasn't the case.
Scooter helped track the evidence.
I found eyewitnesses had been intimidated into keeping silent.
Then, like so many master criminals, Scooter returned to the scene of the crime. He was caught red pawed.
Although wild eyed, Scooter made no attempt to resist arrest.

Another case solved. Another mess left to me to clean up!

Hahahaha. Too funny. Scooter, please don't teach my cat Olive how to do that.

Hi Nora-

We'll all be in big trouble if Scooter starts giving lessons!

I wonder what Scooter would be writing about in his blog right now if he knew you couldn't read it. I can just IMAGINE all the tips and techniques on how to both amuse yet frustrate your humans!

Scooter is just bored and waiting for the Yankees season to open.

Hello to slightlynorsk and Marci-

I live in dread of Scooter blogging. He has no sense of discretion.

Actually he has no sense at all.

I got an email telling me there were problems watching the videos. Since, as far as I'm concerned, this is an epic of the size and quality of Gone With The Wind, I'm concerned that you can't all watch.

If there are problems, please let me know. I'd hate to think people are missing this Academy Award deserving masterwork.

My favorite parts were the heavy breathing and audible footsteps of the sleuth. Toilet papers rolls, beware of cats and toddlers.

Hi Gigi-

Neither the two footed nor the four footed sleuth is particularly light on their feet, but it really is disconcerting to hear my heavy panting in the background.

No wonder I keep the sound off my computer for the most part!

I love the expression on Scooter's face - it's very much a "Well, you've caught me. So I'm going to sprawl here and look adorable in the hopes you forget... have you forgotten yet?"

I saw "The Dead and the Gone" in paperback at Barnes and Noble yesterday! It was under the section "teen favorites". :) Just thought you might like to know.

Hello Jessamyn-

Scooter has a lot of practice in that looking adorable buiness. Even as you were posting your comment, Scooter was tipping over his water bowl.

Once he was sure the floor was sopping wet, he gave me one of his best adorable looks.

He's a real pro at it.

Thanks for the information about Barnes & Noble. I love the idea of being a teen favorite!

My chickens used to do the same thing as Scooter - tip things over, cause mischief - but they never looked quite as adorable doing it, even if they did cluck innocently. :)

Interesting follow up the Barnes and Noble thing: I dropped off a large box of books at my old high school library today, including an extra copy I had of "The Dead and the Gone".

The librarian almost cried with joy. CA's state budget is in such a terrible state, the budget for book purchasing has gone from $50,000 to zero for the school. He said he's been unable to purchase a lot of the newer YA books - like yours - as a result.

As I was leaving, he had pulled TDaTG and some other YA books out, and was arranging them on a bookshelf. Students were flocking already, AND I saw someone pick up TDaTG and say they've really wanted to read it.

So kind of a long-winded story about how your writing is very respected and makes a difference. :)

Hi Jessamyn-

I'm not sure I make a difference, but it's clear you do.

Thank you for supporting your old high school library. It is very generous of you.

On another note, perhaps Scooter is part chicken. He certainly gets up with the roosters!

Well, that's what it says, and I can't improve on it.
