I Think Of It As Free Advertising

There's a Supermoon coming on Saturday.

Let's hope it inspires lots and lots of sales of Life As We Knew It, The Dead And The Gone, and This World We Live In.

Okay. I may be the only one hoping, so I'll hope enough for all of us!

Hi Anonymous and thank you-

I hope there are clear skies tomorrow. It's always so amazing when the moon seems oversized (although I admit for a couple of years after writing LAWKI, a good sized harvest moon made me really nervous!).

I have had two teachers send me links to articles about this and connect to LAWKI. Even though we studied your book two years ago in book club, they are still thinking about it.

Good evening Paige Y.

Say hi to the teachers for me. I always appreciate being remembered!

Yeah, as soon as I heard that I thought of LAWKI...and I'll admit I got a little scared!

This was the first thing that occurrednto me as Well! I even forwarded the news story to my sister, who also bought and read the series on my recommendation (and loved it also.) And, btw, I am a 38 year old mothe of three, she is 36. We live your YA novels... more dystopia from you... please?

Hi to Elise and Anonymous the Adult and Anonymous Who Probably Isn't An Adult-

As of the moment, the sky is fairly clear, just some puffy clouds blocking the view. I'm hoping for a clear sky tonight for full moon viewing during the full moon.

And Anonymous Who Probably Isn't An Adult- Most of the people here have very busy lives, and I appreciate the time they take to leave comments.

I, on the other hand, don't have much of a life. But I do know what LAWKI is!

We just finished your book when Japan had an earthquake...then this full moon. My 13yr old son was a little disappointed the moon wasn't as big as he was imagening since your book! Can't wait to read the next two.

Good Sunday morning Terri B-

Please tell your son I was a little disappointed too. I guess if you saw the moon on the horizon it was an amazing sight, but once it was where it belonged it was certainly very bright and maybe a little bit bigger than normal, but nothing really outstanding.

Oh well. I guess that's why book jackets are designed by people and not Mother Nature!

Hi Lisa-

What a beautiful picture. If it doesn't scream LAWKI, I will!

Hello qwertyuiop-

I'm glad one of us was prepared for a really big moon.

I hope your preparations included getting lots of cat food to Scooter!

OH MY GOD YOU HAVE A BLOG!!!! *squeeee*

(And there goes my classy first impression)

I absolutely loved LIFE AS WE KNEW IT and I just bought THE DEAD AND THE GONE today.
Its funny because that supermoon night, the first thing that crossed my mind was : " Damn. What if the moon crashed on our heads like in LAWKI book?"

Cant wait to start on the sequel! Thanks so much for the pleasure your book gave me, and keep on the good work.:p
