So instead of doing rewriting/polishing of The Offering, I redesigned the blog (although I did keep the interesting stuff on the right side, where it's been for a while).
I'll work on The Offering tomorrow (along with a half dozen other jobs I keep not quite getting around to).
And while I'm thinking of it, for all who celebrate Passover, Happy Passover! And for those who don't, just pass over this whole paragraph (a little bit of traditional Passover humor).

Don't even think of asking me about trying to efile my taxes, or it will make you even more cranky.
Sympathies Marci!
Love the new design!
Thanks Shirley Shimer-
I think it looks pretty and easy to read. Well worth the enormous amount of time I devoted to it last night!
I feel like a well-rounded heel, but the blog does look much nicer and is very easy to read.
Happy Passover to you and your family!

(My word is 'fricin'. If my kids used it, my wife would yell at them.)
Hallo Glen-
I have to confess I'd done so much work on The Shade Of The Moon yesterday it was hard to get back into the mood for The Offering. Redecorating privided me with a nice excuse not to.
While I was making things pretty around here, I increased the font size and style, which I think helps make the blog more readable.
Now we'll see if anyone actually reads it!
I love the new look of your blog, a bigger font is alway appreicated by this old gal. Happy Passover.
Oh, I think they will.

Good Monday morning princessbubbah and Anonymous Santa Fe-
I like the new font size a lot. My aging eyes find it easier to read.
Ooh, my word verification is "porpro." Doesn't that sound...interesting!
I was at B&N the other day picking up a book and giftcard for my niece's birthday (she is still too young for your books!) and in the employee "picks" section was The Dead and the Gone! I was very happy to see it :) I can't remember the exact thing the employee said was very positive!
Thank you Anonymous. I love stories like that!
Oh, my word verification is "potent." Not only is that an actual word, but I even know what it means.
And now that I think about it (and this observation can hardly be original with me), isn't it interesting that I'm potent and impotent are spelled essentially identically and have opposite meanings. The power of an apostrophe!
