I received notice this morning that the German version of Life As We Knew It (Die Welt Wie Wir Sie Kannten) has been shortlisted for a readers choice award.
Naturally, I'm thrilled.
If anyone here is from Germany and feels like voting (from Dec.3-10), here's the link!

Congratulations!! Clearly, there are discerning readers in Germany!
Hi Elaine Marie Alphin-
I'm delighted.
My friend Todd Strasser is also nominated, but I think he has a much better shot than I do!
ETA: My word verfication is "aunch" which has a nice Germanic sound to it.
Wow, congratulations! That's so exciting!
Thank you Lisa-Marie Jordan-
Todd and I had lunch together and we were both pretty excited about being on the same awards shortlist!
...and here are the results of the germen jury:
1: Saphirblau by Kerstin Gier
2: Arkadien brennt by Kai Meyer
3: Shiver (Nach dem Sommer) by Maggie Stiefvater
and fourth:
Die Welt wie wir sie kannten by Susan Beth Pfeffer
Thank you Anonymous-
It's wonderful to have my book be fourth in such a strong field.
Of course, 1-3 would have been better still!
