Season's Greetings to heather t, Nora, Texas Pixie, Anonymous Ann Marie, and Anonymous.

Boy, a lot of people named Anonymous hang out here.

I checked through the comments, and found that Walter Pidgeon had left one on Jan. 14. It's a good thing I checked, since I'd missed a comment from Patti, a mistake I've since corrected. I've also added Anonymous Walter Slezak to the list.

It's interesting about Walter. There's Walter Pidgeon and Slezak and Matthau, and Brennan and Koenig. And who knows what kind of career he could have had if the great American poet had written under the name of Walter Whitman!

And from Down Under where it is getting warmer and warmer, holiday greetings to you, Susan, and to Charlotte. So pleased she found you.

Season's Greetings...

and thank you for two wonderful books that had me glued to a chair till I had finished them, with my kids moaning for me to feed them! :) Yes I know they are aimed at younger folks but I loved them and am thrilled to hear you've got more planned.

Have a great 2009,

Holiday Greetings to Judi and Caroline, who have the good sense to live someplace where it's summer, and welcome to Noonie, whose name I just put in the list of folk I wish a special holiday to.

Isn't the internet astonishing? The way it unites us wherever we live? Yesterday, I sent a thank you email to the people in Sheffield, UK, for making a prize certificate for their Highly Commended Books (which I assume means LAWKI came in second in their competition), and my email account automatically sent it to someone at Harcourt with the same first name. An international email wrong number.

At least it didn't cost me anything (except maybe a little embarrassment, and I always have plenty of that to spare!).

Hopefully, the right people eventually got the e-mail.

Seasons Greetings to you and the other bloggers.

Happy Boxer Day to Anonymous Santa Fe, Wendy, and Dawn-

Here's to a peaceful, easy, happy 2009.

Ooh, that sounds good!

I had "world peace" on my Christmas list, and my kids gave me a package of Reeses Pieces with a piece of masking tape over "Reeses" on which they wrote "World". So this afternoon I've been enjoying World Pieces.

Happy Holidays to you, too!

Thank you; happy to see Book 3 is coming along although I am averting my eyes from the spoilers!

ps - my grandmother is 93 but does not have the pleasant disposition of your mother. Still, of course, I am lucky to have her.

Hi CLM-

I'm pleased to see my B3 spoiler system is working.

My mother is an absolute sweetheart. She always has been, so this isn't any new development on her part.

I,on the other hand, take after my father!

This is/was astonishing. Thank you very much. Sorry I missed it when it was timely for last year's holiday season. Though, I guess this year's is coming up already. Is there a statute of limitations on holiday well-wishes?
