The Joys Of A Holiday Weekend

No one is home, so I can do whatever I want with my blog.

Which is to post this fabulous video of my fabulous kitten.

Hi Bethany-

Well, Scooter has every reason to be content. I spoil him rotten!

Aw what a lovely long tail he has =] He reminds me of my cat Mimmo, black and white with short hair too.

I like the black part he has on his chin.

Yesterday, one of my daughter, Shayna's, 11 year old friends came over. I asked her what she was reading and she said 'nothing at the moment, I'm waiting for a book called the dead and the gone to come into the library'. I asked her if she read LAWKI and she had and loved it.

What I found out happened was that I was in our library two weeks ago and saw another of my daughter's friends looking for a book. I went over and pulled out LAWKI and gave it to her. She read that and then recommended it to her friend who recommended it to Shayna's friend. So a lot of kids in Wantagh are reading your books this summer... and I'm not getting any credit!

Glen

By the way, Shayna already listened to LAWKI on tape and read the dead and the gone. Everyone, me too!, is looking forward to the third book.

By the way 2, my word verification for today is 'forkin'. Are they trying to tell me something?

Hello to Liv=] and Mariana Soffer-

Scooter's tail was not his strong point when I first adopted him, but it has filled out nicely. And his coat is very sleek.

Marci and Bill were over yesterday. They've known Scooter since shortly after I got him, so they could truly appreciate how much he's grown. Marci said he'd grown into his beard.

Now if he would just grow out of Purr On The Neck and Pounce On The Toes, I'd be a very happy person!

Hi Glen, you fabulous publicist you-

Do you think your daughter's friends would listen to their own parents' book recommendations? Or is that the kind of thing that only carries weight if you're someone else's dad?

Either way, I now expect you to stay at the library and push my books. It's the forkin thing to do!
