April First Is Early This Year

Amazon says This World We Live In is in stock.

Or at least sort of in stock.

And they're looking for reviews.

Not that I'm hinting!

Does this mean the book is out?

Do you have ARCs available? I'd be happy (read: doing cartwheels and screaming with delight) to review it on my blog and Amazon. You can email me at blogginboutbooksATgmailDOTcom

Hello to DeviouslyCartoonified and Susan-

Yes (to DeviouslyCartoonified). At least Amazon has its copies for sale, although I'm not sure they've actually unpacked them.

And no to Susan (sorry). All my ARCs are long gone, and my guess is Harcourt doesn't have any left either.

This is Another Susan here. :o)

Once I have book in hand, I will so be posting a review. And I only believe in happy reviews--the world is crazy enough without putting more negativity into the world! (But I'm pretty sure there will be nothing negative to report, anyway.)

I'll order from Amazon, because they won't let you post a review without having bought the book from them. At least that was how it was a few weeks ago...

Good morning Another Susan-

When I went to high school, lo these many decades ago, all the girls were either named Susan or Linda.

There were actually two Lindas with the same last name and one was known as Fat Linda G and the other as Skimmy Linda G.

It made me grateful my last name at least was distinctive (although there were several other Pfeffers in my high school, and they were all smarter than I was).

How's that for reminiscing on a Sunday morning.

Anyway, it's my hope that with Amazon sort of having This World in stock, other places will as well, and anyone who wants to read it will have the opportunity to. And I hope a lot of people will want to read it.

I also hope for world peace. Because if this writing thing doesn't work out, I might aim for Miss America instead!

Hello Susan!
If you are wondering what Amazon has done with TW, then you should know that a lot of them have already been shipped out TODAY. I placed an order about a month ago and now it's already on its way!!! I'm so excited!!!!

Hi Bryce-

Yay! It's good to know Amazon located their copies.

I hope you enjoy it.

My copy from Amazon is supposed to be here today. . .and I am so excited.

Another Susan. . .I've posted reviews for books that I did not buy from Amazon. Is this a new deveopment?

I'll cut and paste mine from my blog -- tried to do that earlier but it wouldn't let me since the book wasn't on sale yet.

Hello to Jen's Quilts and to C.K.-

Thank you C.K. for posting your review (and thanks to Maria T. also).

I've been monitoring my Amazon sales moderately obsessively (obsessively would involve waking up during the night to check the numbers, and that bad I'm not). This World is at 3 reviews now, and its star ranking is inching up.

Heh. You want the numbers to go down and the stars to go up. Amazon certainly is complicated!

Hi Susan
I'm glad you like my review. I took an online course and got such positive comments on this review that I thought I'd put it to good use.
I'm kind of surpised how much of the plot of TWWLI was told by other reviewers on Amazon. Some of them really need spoiler alerts.
By the way, there is only one copy of your book left at Amazon!! They're selling like hotcakes.

Hi Maria T. and thank you again-

Amazon seems to have found some more copies, and a good thing too! There's no way of knowing how many copies it's selling, but I do love to check those numbers.

Have you noticed I've kept the countdown thing on the right side of the blog? I'm hoping that when it reaches the zero hour something exciting will happen.

Not that things aren't exciting enough already!
