A Little More Bookkeeping

Has anyone out there written a comment and then found it hasn't been posted? I've been told that's happened with at least one person, and I want to find out if it's a recurring problem.

This blog business is very nerve-wracking.

I've had it happen to be a couple times, but it's not something so consistent to drive me insane. It's probably just a fluke.

Okay, I've disenabled moderating.

Let me know if comments still aren't getting posted. Not that I'll know what to do about it, but an informed blogger is a guilt stricken blogger, which is probably just the way my slowly gained readership likes me.

If I recall correctly, you enabled moderation, initially, to stem the tide of comment spam that was already beginning to happen to you. There is a halfway step that will leave you somewhat protected without your having to okay each comment received. Just enable "word verification" in the same area of your settings governing moderation, and that will at least mean that only humans can spam your blog.

Of course, you may have already done this. Ironically, I won't know until I hit publish on this comment. Will I be able to cancel in time?

Thank you mr. cavin.

I have now put in word verification. Let's hope that allows all the real comments to come through, while blocking those silly junk ones.
