ARChives

This will be the world's quickest ARC report since I'm running off to NYC in a minute to see my goddaughter who's there on vacation.

I used the Star-Ledger article as an opening to whine and kvetch about the lack of ARCs in my life.

The very nice Harcourt person who responded said she'd ask another very nice Harcourt person what was happening with them.

And that is the beginning, middle and end of the report.

In case I don't have anything more fascinating to tell you between today and Thursday, have a wonderful Thanksgiving. My friends Joyce and Lew are coming up and we're grabbing my mother and taking her out for a fancy restaurant Thanksgiving luncheon.

Food, family, friends and no aggravation. I hope your holiday is as wonderful as mine promises to be!

Happy Thanksgiving, Susan! I'll be at my aunt-in-law's house with casseroles in tow and my capable hands for cutting/washing/drying at the ready.

I'm tired already just thinking of the massive amount of work for one hour of eating...

Hi Glen and Hailee and Susan and thank you for your Thanksgiving wishes.

It's fun hearing what other people have in store. Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays, because it's about friendship and family and national history. A really excellent combination.

Of course it's also about giving thanks, and I have a lot of that I can do also this year!

We don't have Thanksgiving, of course, but as it happens I have a couple of days off work and will be trying to reach 50 000 on my NaNo. It's being very stubborn about leaving the 47 000s...got quite comfortable there.

Have a great time.

{My word is paquourr...sounds like those people who follow you up mountains, I think.}

Happy Wednesday morning Maria T and Aoife (although where Aoife is, it's no longer Wednesday morning).

I had a great time in NYC, but when I got home, there were no ARCs waiting and no message about where they might be.

I'd get seriously annoyed except it's the day before Thanksgiving and I have to buy groceries and clean the apartment and do all kinds of internet business things I haven't had a chance to do before today.

So I'm putting off getting annoyed until next Monday, and maybe, just maybe, the ARCs will have arrived by then (not likely though, since UPS won't deliver tomorrow or Sat/Sun. Oooh, I feel myself getting annoyed prematurely).

My sign in word is ststrost. That sounds like someting Adam Lambert would sing about!
